How to Plan the Perfect Luxury Wedding Procession

An Indian wedding has many moments — but few are as visually iconic as the moment the bride or groom steps out of their car. Whether it’s the baraat procession, the grand entry, or the bidaai farewell, getting wedding transportation right matters more than people realise.

1. Start with the Car That Sets the Tone

The bridal car or groom’s entry car will appear in your photos forever. We typically recommend a classic Mercedes S-Class for an elegant, timeless look, a Rolls-Royce or vintage car for a statement entrance, or a decorated open jeep for younger couples wanting a fun vibe.

2. Plan the Baraat Vehicle Logistics

For the groom’s baraat, you’ll need: the lead car (groom), 1-2 cars for parents and immediate family, a coach or mini-buses for relatives traveling together, and a music vehicle if you’re hiring a band. Coordinate timing carefully — guests should arrive 15-20 minutes before the groom.

3. Account for All Guest Movement

Out-of-town guests need airport transfers, hotel-to-venue shuttles, late-night drop-offs back to the hotel, and possibly day-after sightseeing. A dedicated wedding coordinator from your transport partner can manage all of this on a single timeline.

4. Don’t Forget the Post-Wedding Send-Off

The bidaai car needs to be ready, decorated, and chauffeur-driven the moment the couple leaves the mandap. Pre-book this so there’s no delay during what is already an emotional moment for the family.

At KTC, our wedding planners handle all of this end-to-end. We’ve been part of weddings of every scale across India — from intimate ceremonies to 5,000-guest celebrations — and we’d love to be part of yours.
